The Wedding Day

After the wedding the guests were all invited to stay the night to continue celebrating and enjoying the company of each other. A dinner was prepared by some local women, Jamie and Susan met at a trade show in Fort Saskatchewan.

The guests enjoyed chicken and potato salad, variety of vegetables, deserts. There were threats of a pillow fight at the family home, perhaps you need to ask the guests how many feathers flew? Oh my gosh, how could one describe this day? We all had so much fun.

Everyone was in such a good mood. We tried to be serious, honest we did but it was so hard to do.

Of course the vows were different and everyone laughed at certain stages, setting the stage for the part "does anyone have reason why these two should not be joined in marriage?" Everyone of our guests jumped up and down, waving their hands. The poor marriage commissioner had a hard time keeping a straight face.

The true to nature Cranky Bitch With a Bad Attitude had to ask him if it had to be the truth further cracking him up.

I could not stand the shoes on my feet so took them off. Being a true hillbilly at heart had my barefoot wedding. The weather was beautiful and we shared drinks and food.

Later in the evening we went outside and built a fire to keep warm. Of course all the men had to make fools of themselves, singing and using household props as microphones. They cleared off the coffee table and danced and pranced.

To try and get a word in edgewise around Jamie is hard enough, and put him with Mr.K and Garry, the women did not have a chance.

This carrying on went on till 4:30 a.m. and when Jamie and I went to bed he was still talking and acting a fool. I finally decided the only way to shut him up was to go to sleep. So to those who were wondering, nope the marriage was not consummated on our wedding night. Jamie could not shut up long enough to concentrate on that. *LOL* However, never fear, we did make up for it.

This low budget wedding could not have happened without all our wonderful friends on and off line. Thank you all so much. Best of all, everyone including us had a great time and we fulfilled our promise to you all, that this would be a wedding no one would ever forget.
