Day
late, dollar short! It will be years before statistics are done to
compare internet relationships to conventional relationships.
In my experience I see no difference. Life is a gamble, We all enter
into relationships, no matter how they are nurtured positive,
full of hope, plans for the future. No one that I know goes into any
relationship and says, *Think I will proceed to mess this one up*
As with anything, honesty is were it is at. Both people have to be
totally honest as to what they want in life, their past, their future,
hopes and dreams. I feel most relationships end when one person was
not honest in dealing with the relationship.
Today
I celebrate my one year anniversary with my one line love and soul
mate. Things are as good now as they were then. WE were honest on
line, we are honest now with each other. Actually, I feel I know him
better than any relationship in my past and that is because we got
to know each other so well by interaction on the net, email, and phone
calls.
The only caution to the wind I have to share is when marrying or entering
into a relationship with someone outside your own country, proceed
carefully.
Immigration
issues can cloud the relationship. Immigration is complicated,
expensive, un-settling, discouraging at best. Do not depend that love
will conquer all, as it does not. Immigration really does not care
if you love each other or not, they do not care if you have to be
separated. You follow their rules, their laws, pay them their money
and hope for the best.
I term it Immigration from Hell.
Having
experienced and experiencing both Immigration to Canada and
Immigration to the United States I feel like an expert in this field
already and our problems are just beginning once again. As more and
more people get on line, we will be seeing more friendships develop
on the internet. This is just one more way for people to connect in
a Global community. I have met many on line friends and would not
trade the experience or their friendships on and off line for anything
in the world. As with anything, you need to use common sense. Listen
to yourself and follow your heart.
