A Special Friend

Sometimes in life the strangest things can happen when you least expect them. With a hard life that I have led through many circumstances beyond my control, I more than many have learned to appreciate the little tidbits of life that others overlook. Though there is no reason for me to trust and love, I continue to look for the good in all people. My friends are varied from the very young to the very old and my chathouse friends are no different. I have found in the Chathouse that we all are looking for something, though we may not know just what that is. Through many days and nights of developing friendships we sort and choose our friends carefully. Even in the Chathouse, the real person soon comes out and we are able to make a choice on where that friendship will lead.
When thelamb came into my world I thought he was a she. When he entered my PM box I soon realized she was most definitely a he! Though I usually post all PM's in public for some reason I did not. The Lamb had not been chatting for a time and on this particular day we met. For some odd reason I assumed somehow he was in his late twenties so anything other than chatting was out of the question for me. We started talking of hopes and dreams we both shared. Over the course of time, I began really liking this guy. The problem was his age and the feeling of incest as I had sons older than what I presumed him to be. *LOL* He would share his dates with me, and I would share my hope for his happiness. We encouraged each other and had many good conversations. He would tease me to come to Canada to be with him and I would tell him our ages would always be a factor. He could never understand my hang-up of the age difference and he had no idea I thought he was 26 or 27. Though he knew my age exactly, he just assumed I knew his so the actual years were never discussed. I promised him I would find him a sweet young thing to send his way and we had laughs concerning that.
Then one evening, on a particular vulnerable day we spoke in ICQ. I then realized he had seen my picture and I had not seen his so he sent me his photo. It was like the flood gates opened that very instant. Laughing, I could see he was not in his 20's but near 40 (though still younger than I, not young enough to be my son *LOL*) The typing then became excited and quick and his response was just as quick. We had gotten to know each other so well as friends with no love interest. We shared things that may otherwise have been guarded had we been trying to impress one another.
To make a long story short, we fell in love, share the same interests, same dreams and hopes for the future. We both have been alone enough and on June 19th we were married. We feel fortunate to have found each other and the circumstances will always make us smile. Jamie is a wonderful kind man who makes me laugh all the time. So to my Jamie to quote a song you hate! *You light up my life* I love you you sexy *thang* you...*BAS* |
